Stop Measure J – Polling shows 50/50 split among voters – Educate everyone you can
   If Measure J were to pass, every dairy and chicken ranch regardless of size could be forced to close, including my family’s dairy farm of five generations. While it is promoted as protecting small family farms, the measure’s language is vague and confusing and does not protect any farm.
   Without local farms our local food culture would end as well. Two examples are Straus Family Creamery and Clover Sonoma. They would not survive as local dairy processors if the dairies that supply them were not here.
   Measure J would also endanger our open spaces. Every time a farm is forced to close the land will be vulnerable to development.

Sonoma County Farm Bureau No on Measure J Volunteer Opportunities
   The local Farm Bureau has begun neighborhood canvassing efforts. The most important thing we can do to defeat Measure J is to talk to as many voters as possible. Please join us in saving Sonoma County local food and family farms. Every vote counts.

Sonoma County GOP Report on Election Systems and Practices in the March 2024 Primary Election
   Here are some highlights – 

1. Major vulnerabilities exist in vote centers due to lack of a voter ID requirement and no signature verification of “live” ballots.
2. The complexity of mail-in ballot processing, facility constraints and low staffing cause delays in counting ballots and reporting of election results.
3. Registrar of Voters does a great job of administering state laws, but those laws consistently weaken election system integrity and reduce trust in the system.
4. Increased use of voting machines at vote centers and lack of required testing of ballot printers further weakens the ability to detect errors or fraud. 
5. Voter I.D. verification for first-time voters does not require photo I.D.  No verification of citizenship.​

What you can do – 

• Ask the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters and Board of Supervisors to signature check live ballots in the November 2024 election.
• Share this information with everyone you can –knowledge of this problem is the first step in solving it!
• Contact your legislators and tell them what you think of these dangerous laws demand new legislation NOW!
• Vote for candidates that support election integrity
• Sign up to work as a poll worker with the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters
